Thomas D. Madison is the Vice Chairman and Co-Owner of Capstone Corporation, based in Alexandria, Virginia. Capstone provides information, training, and management solutions and services to the United States Federal government. The work is performed in over 20 states and multiple overseas locations.
Mr. Madison joined Capstone in 1998 as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and later as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Madison has held previous executive positions with Systems Integration and Research Incorporated (SIR). During his seven-year tenure at SIR, Mr. Madison became co-owner and served as President and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Madison has over thirty years of contracts experience providing professional service support to the government. He retired at the rank of Captain from the Navy Reserves in 2009 after thirty years active and reserve service in the Navy Supply Corps.
Mr. Madison received his Master in Business Administration with a specialization in Contract Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1986. Previously, he received his Bachelor Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1979 and was commissioned an Ensign through NROTC. Mr. Madison is an instrument rated private pilot with over 500 hrs. flying time and is an avid scuba diver.
